Alistrati
Only a few kilometres from Paralia Ofrinio is one of the most beautiful dripstone caves in northern Greece. The cave can be reached on foot through the Aggitis Canyon.
Krinides
A healing mud bath, which is said to help against joint and back pain, is not far from Paralia Ofrinio. The mud is also said to be effective against skin diseases. As it is an open air facility, the mud baths are open between July and October.
Amphipolis
The ancient city of Amphipolis is the birthplace of many important personalities, such as Zoilus. The first excavations began in 1956. You will be enchanted by a multitude of archaeological finds. The most famous landmark of the area is the marble lion of Amphipolis.
Pangaion
The mountain massif with its almost 2000m altitude invites you to go hiking. Visit picturesque mountain villages and a variety of monasteries. The vegetation is extremely varied.
Kavala
Take the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful cities in Northern Greece. A wealth of sights (aqueducts, churches, museums) in the surrounding area, archaeological sites and diverse landscapes make Kavala an exciting destination.
Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki is full of evidence of the country’s great history. Take the opportunity to stroll along the five-kilometre-long waterfront promenade to reach the White Tower, for example. You can also discover the beautiful themed gardens. If you like archaeology and history, don’t miss the many ancient sites and museums. The best local products can be found at the Modiano and Kapina markets.
